Burnsville, Minn. – The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference released the Soccer Preseason Coaches' Poll Wednesday morning, with the Northern State Wolves picked tenth overall. NSU accumulated 107 points in the poll.
Northern State enters the 2019 season under the direction of first year head and assistant coaches
Ryszard Gorski and
Rachael Norton. Gorski brings together a squad that went 9-8-1 overall and 7-7-1 in the NSIC in 2018. The Wolves return 18 from a season ago, while welcoming nine freshman and transfers.
Stephany Estrada and
Shianne Rosselli will suit up for the Wolves in their senior campaigns, after being named to the NSIC All-Conference first team and honorable mention teams last season. Of the nine newcomers, forward

Morgan Bury were tabbed as the team's players to watch in the league.
Wammock and Bury join the Northern State program after junior college careers at Walla Walla Community College and Sheridan College. Wammock was a 2-time all-star at Walla Walla CC where she recorded 14 goals (3 game winning goals) and won an East Region Championship. Bury was a 2-time all-region selection at Sheridan College and an Academic All-American in goal.
The 2019 Northern State roster boast players from 11 states and five different countries. The Wolves open the season with a difficult non-conference slate, matching up against Division I Wisconsin Green Bay and national contender Ferris State.
The 2019 NSIC Soccer Regular Season Champion will be determined by a 15-game league schedule, with a win earning a team three points and a tie one point. The 2019 NSIC Soccer season will see its first action on Thursday, September 5 with NSIC action beginning on September 20. The NSIC Tournament is scheduled for November 13, 15, 17. The top four seeds shall host for the first round, followed by the semifinal and championship rounds at the campus of the highest remaining seed.
