Ian Smith was honored on the central region second team.
The Brooklyn Park native started 31 games for the Wolves in his final season. He averaged a team leading 13.7 points per game, scoring 424 on the year. Smith also was among the team leaders, averaging 5.7 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game. He shot 47.9 percent from the floor. The senior finished his Northern State career with 1,444 points, which ranks him 19
th all-time in program history. Smith recorded career highs in points (39) and assists (11) in 2018-19. He was named to the NSIC All-Conference first team earlier this season and to the NABC All-District second team in 2018 as well.

About the National Association of Basketball Coaches
Located in Kansas City, MO, the NABC was founded in 1927 by Forrest "Phog" Allen, the legendary basketball coach at the University of Kansas. Allen, a student of James Naismith, the inventor of basketball, organized coaches into this collective group to serve as Guardians of the Game. The NABC currently has nearly 5,000 members consisting primarily of university and college men's basketball coaches.
