Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State University women's basketball team dropped a conference game to Minnesota Duluth by a final score 56-74. Wolves drop to 9-16 on the season and 6-13 in conference play.
Wolves started the game on a 7-0 run before the Bulldogs scored their first points of the game. Wolves were leading the Bulldogs 14-9 after one quarter of play. Bulldogs took their first lead of the game with 5 minutes left in the first half. Bulldogs would take a 32-27 lead heading into the intermission. Wolves shot 52.2 percent in the first half from the field, 60.0 percent in the arc, nine assists on 12 field goals, two blocks, and two steals.
Bulldogs went on a 17-2 run in the third quarter to bring the lead to 22 with two minutes left in the third quarter. Wolves were out-scored 26-8 in the third quarter as they trailed by 23 heading into the final quarter. Wolves out-scored the Bulldogs 21-16 in the fourth quarter but was not enough as the Wolves lost by 18.
Wolves shot 47.8 percent from the field, 44.4 percent from behind the 3-point line, and 80.0 percent from the free-throw line. Wolves were out-rebounded by the Bulldogs 28-27, and 14 assists on 22 made field goals.

Jessi Marti picked up nine points, three rebounds, and four assists.
Lexi Wadsworth scored all five points from the free-throw line, she also added two rebounds, two assists, one block, and one steal.
Brianna Kusler recorded four points, eight rebounds, one assist, and a team high two steals.
Anika Fredrick led the Wolves bench with nine points, one rebound, two assists, and one block .
Alayna Johnson was the last starter for the Wolves finishing with two points, one rebound, and two assists.
Joie Spier finished with six points and five rebounds.
Zoe Hardwick scored six points in five minutes with two rebounds, and one block.
Rachel Guthmiller was the last Wolves player in the scoring column finishing with two points.
Wolves are back in action tomorrow afternoon with senior night, facing off with St. Cloud State, highlighting two seniors
