Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State swim team travels to Rochester, Minnesota for the annual Rochester Invite.  The invite will begin on Friday December 6 and go through Sunday December 8 with preliminaries in the morning and finals in the evening. 


ABOUT NORTHERN

• Northern State enters the Rochester Invite 1-12 overall
• The Wolves dropped their last race in the pool to MSU Moorhead 132-99
• NSU recorded four lifetime bests with Mercer (200 back), Kiernan (200 back), Pattee (1000 free), and Forsyth (200 IM)
• Last year at the Rochester Invite the Wolves saw 25 season bests and three personal records ending day one tied for seventh
• Josie Gillund in her 500 freestyle finished with a season best of 5 minutes and 26.47 seconds
• Jordan Metz recorded a personal best of 5:34.59 in the 500 free
• Kristen Collingwood recorded a time of 5:58.85 in the 500 free
• Day two of the invite last year Northern saw 35 season bests and had six appearances in the finals
• Hazel Ohm recorded a season best in the 50 free with a time of 27.71
• Gillund ended the Wolves on a high note finishing her 50 free with a season best time of 25.40
• In the finals Emma Murdock placed ninth in the 200 free with a personal best of 1:56.80
• NSU saw more personal and season bests on day three of the Rochester Invite with Metz 1650 free and Gillund in the 100 free as she took a swim in the finals later that afternoon
• In the day three finals Murdock finished the back with a season and personal best, then adding another season and career best in the 100 fly
