Aberdeen, S.D. – Northern State soccer battled the Bulldogs of Minnesota Duluth Friday evening in a 0-2 loss amid an early snowfall after falling behind late in the second half.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Northern was able to keep Minnesota Duluth scoreless in the first half after allowing nine shots
- Morgan Bury would make an extraordinary one-on-one save late in the first half to keep the Bulldogs scoreless just before heading into the locker room for half time
- The Wolves had several quality chances to find the back of the net throughout the game despite only having five total shots and one on goal through 90 minutes of play
- NSU would come out in the second half and show off their ability to create opportunities having nine corners in the second half alone, compared to UMD's one second-half corner
- UMD broke the scoring open at the 69-minute mark with a left-side goal from Erin Walpole, her first of the season
- Minnesota Duluth netted their second goal after 73 minutes of play on a penalty kick. Emily Hinz would net that goal for the Bulldogs
