Brady Danielson signs with Northern State men’s basketball

Aberdeen, S.D. – Northern State University head coach Paul Sather announced today the addition of Brady Danielson (York, Neb.) for the 2018-19 season. Danielson will join November signees Jaden Graham (Lewistown, Mont.) and Jaylen Robinson (Hamilton, Ohio) next fall.

"Brady is one of the best competitors I've ever seen in high school," noted Sather. "He is a winner! He was a Class B All-State selection in both basketball and football as a junior, leading both to state titles, so he's had excellent coaching and played for strong programs at York High School, in Nebraska."

15870Brady Danielson is a 6-foot-3, 195-pound guard out of York High School. He is a 4-year starter and 2-year team captain for the Dukes under head coach Scott Lamberty. Danielson averaged 17.0 points, 5.3 rebounds, 4.1 assists, and 1.3 steals per game a season ago. Danielson tallied the 1,000 point of his high school career as a junior, and recorded a season record for single season steals.

"Brady has been a main recruiting target for us these past two years since coach Horstman saw him play during his sophomore year, and it's exciting to have him officially join the Wolves basketball family," added Sather. "Brady is a big, physical guard with a great skill set that can stretch the floor or finish tough baskets around the rim. His versatility on defense is what really sets him apart; he can guard any position on the floor and he will be a strong rebounding guard. Brady is a winner off the floor as well; he is very active in the York community and does an exceptional job in the classroom."

He is a 2-time all-conference selection, 3-time York News Times all-area pick, Omaha World Herald/Lincoln Journal Star Class B first team recipient, Huskerland Prep Player of the year, and All-Class State Tournament first team member. The Dukes were the 2017-18 Class B State Champions. He is the son of Denny and Judy Danielson.
