Winona, Minn. – Wolves drop conference game against Winona State Saturday night by a final of 37-58. With the loss, Wolves drop to 6-8 on the regular season and 3-5 in the NSIC.
Both teams tallied mini runs in the first quarter with the Wolves taking a two-point lead into the second quarter. Winona State recorded a strong second quarter as the Wolves and were out-scored 19-7 and trailed by 10 heading into the intermission. The Wolves shot 28.0 percent from the field in the first half, 42.9 percent from behind the arc, and tallied five assists on seven made field goals.
Winona State extended the lead after three quarters to by two, as the Wolves trailed by 13 heading into the final quarter. Wolves were out-scored 12-4 in the final quarter as they drop the final game of the road trip. Wolves shot a season low 23.2 percent, 17.6 percent from behind the arc, out-rebounded the Warriors 37-34, tallied eight assists on 13 made field goals.

Brianna Kusler tallied a career high with 15 rebounds, 6 points, three assists, and two steals.
Anika Fredrick tallied four points, three rebounds, and one steal.
Tori Mekash recorded three points and three rebounds in the loss.
Brooke Luitjens tallied three points and one rebound in the game.
Lexi Wadsworth was the final starter for the Wolves scoring one point, four rebounds, and one assist.

Wolves are back in action next weekend at Wachs Arena, as Minnesota Crookston and Bemidji State come to town. Tip-off on Friday is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. against the Golden Eagles and 4 p.m. start on Saturday against the Beavers.
