Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State University soccer team host two NSIC match-ups over Gypsy Days weekend at the Athletic and Recreational Field. The Wolves will play Winona State on Friday and Upper Iowa on Sunday. Kick-off is scheduled on Friday for 3 p.m. against the Warriors and 1 p.m. Sunday against the Peacocks.
Last week the Wolves were on the road against Southwest Minnesota State and Sioux Falls and finished the weekend with a 1-1 record. The Wolves started off slow against the Mustangs but rallied in the last ten minutes of the match with two goals. The first goal was at the 80:15 mark when
Shianne Rosselli scored her second goal of the season. Eight minutes later off a counter attack
Darian Leschewski gave the Wolves the lead to seal the victory. In Sunday's match against the Cougars, the Wolves were down 2-0 after one half of play but cut the lead in half off a Leschewski goal but could not complete the comeback and lost 2-1.
About Winona State:
· Winona State is heading into the matchup with a 1-4-1 overall and a 1-3-1 record in the NSIC.
· Five players have scored goals for the Warriors on the season, Mariah Northrop and Alyssa Reynolds have each recorded an assist.
· Jourdan Valkner has received every start for the Warriors allowing nine goals and 27 saves on the season.
· Matt Kellogg is the head coach for the Warriors, in his first year at the helm.

· In the last match-up with the Warriors, NSU lost in double overtime by a final of 3-2.

About Upper Iowa:
· Upper Iowa enters the weekend with a 1-6-0 and 1-4-0 in NSIC play.
· Maida Alijagic leads the Peacocks with three points on the season (1 G, 1 A). Katie Samuels and Haley Ramberg each have scored a goal on the season.
· Natalie Rudrud is the expected goalkeeper for the Peacocks allowing 15 goals on the season in seven matches.
· James Price is the head coach for the Peacocks, in his second season at the helm.
