Aberdeen, S.D. – The No. 3 Northern State University volleyball team continues NSIC play tomorrow with a mid-week contest against MSU Moorhead. First serve is scheduled for 6 p.m. between the Wolves and Dragons from Wachs Arena.
Northern entered the opening week of NSIC action, moving up four spots to No. 3 in the AVCA Top-25 Poll. The Wolves opened NSIC play with two wins over UMary and Minot State, improving to 10-0 on the year. They currently lead the nation in hitting percentage and kills per set, while also leading the NSIC in hitting percentage and opponent hitting percentage. Northern is averaging 15.1 kills, 14.0 assists, 14.9 digs, 2.1 aces, and 1.8 blocks per set on the year.
Hailey Busch is leading the team with 134 total kills, averaging 4.19 per set. She is also hitting a team third best .413.
Jenna Reiff leads the team hitting .548 on the year, and is the only other Wolf with over 100 kills, averaging 3.31 per set. She also leads the squad with 32 total blocks.
Ashley Rozell is pacing the offense averaging 12.47 assists per set, while also recording a team high 25 service aces.
Jaiden Langlie leads the defense with 136 total digs, averaging 4.25 per set, as the team's primary libero. Rozell has twice been named the NSIC Setter of the Week, while Busch and Reiff have both earned NSIC Offensive Player of the Week honors.
