Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State University wrestling team fell to No. 16 Minnesota State Thursday evening 42-3 from Wachs Arena. The Wolves are now 1-12 overall and 0-6 in the NSIC.  
 
The match kicked off at 165 pounds with Blake Perryman taking on Dylan Herman. It was a high scoring affair as Perryman defeated Herman 14-7. Perryman scored first with a takedown, but trailed 4-3 at the end of the period. The senior add four points in the second, lengthening his lead to 7-3 heading into the final two minutes of action. Herman battled back with three points; however, it was not enough to overcome the 5-point deficit and seven scored points by Perryman in the third. In total, Perryman notched three takedowns, three escapes, one 4-point nearfall, and a penalty point.
 
The Wolves return to action tomorrow night for the final home dual of the 2017-18 season. Northern will face off against Dickinson State at 7 p.m. from Wachs Arena for Senior Night.
