Minot, N.D. – The Northern State University wrestling team fell to Minot State Tuesday evening, 27-13. With the loss, Northern drops to 2-13 overall and 0-7 in the NSIC with one dual remaining in the regular season.
Tanner Olson picked up the first win of the dual for the Wolves at 157 pounds, defeating Zach Berry. Olson grabbed a 2-0 decision win, earning three team points for NSU.
Blake Perryman notched his fifth straight victory at 165 pounds, defeating Carlos Toledano. Perryman came away with the 15-7 major decision cutting into the Minot lead.
Kaden Campbell kept things rolling at 174 pounds with a win over Parker Osterman. Campbell notched a 5-3 decision victory, as the Wolves trailed by just eight points with three matches remaining.
Diego Gallegos tallied the final win of the evening for NSU, defeating Briley Crissler at 197 pounds. Gallegos battled in the 3-2 decision victory.
Northern returns to action tomorrow night for the final dual of the regular season at 7 p.m. versus the University of Mary.
