Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State soccer team fell to Bemidji State Sunday afternoon in the final game of the regular season by a final 1-0. With the loss, the Wolves season ends with a 9-8-1 overall and 7-7-1 in conference season.
Darian Leschewski picked up the first shot on goal of the match at the 25:10 mark of the first half but a save was made by the Bemidji State goalie. At the 41:40 mark of the first half,
Stephany Estrada picked up the second shot on goal of the half. The Wolves finished the first half with five shots, and three corner kicks.
Bemidji State picked up a goal in the 81st minute of the match as the Beavers to score the only goal of the match. NSU finished the match with seven shots, three corner kicks, and two fouls. Estrada picked up one shot on goal in the match on four shot attempts and Leschewski recorded a shot on goal in the match.
Jessica Otto took the loss in net for NSU, allowed one goal in nine shot attempts faced.
NSU Soccer will graduate three seniors
Darian Leschewski,
Karli Harney, and
Taylor Schumacher.
Darian Leschewski tallied 19 goals, six assists, 44 points, and 171 shots in her four-year career. Schumacher played the past three seasons for the Wolves finishing her career with five shots in 14 matches played.
Karli Harney played the last four season as a midfielder for the Wolves playing in 66 games, scoring two goals, one assist, and 31 career shots.
