Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State University men's basketball team will conclude the regular season this Friday and Saturday on the road at Minnesota Duluth and St. Cloud State. The Wolves will face-off with the Bulldogs at 8 p.m. on Friday and the Huskies at 6 p.m. on Saturday.
The Northern State University men's basketball team enters the final weekend of regular season play with a 19-7 record overall and 15-5 mark in league action. In the first of three regional rankings, the Wolves sit No. 9 in the Central Region behind NSIC opponents, No. 3 SMSU, No. 5 MSUM, No. 7 UIU, and No. 8 AU. The Wolves currently lead the NSIC in field goal percentage defense (44.4), rebounding margin (+7.6), offensive rebounds (11.5), defensive rebounds (28.3), and blocked shots (4.7). NSU is shooting 48.7% from the floor, 40.6% from the arc, and 74.3% from the line, while averaging 84.7 points, 39.0 rebounds, 13.1 assists, 12.7 turnovers, 3.8 steals, and 4.3 blocks per game this season.
Logan Doyle is leading the team, and is second in the league, averaging 9.6 rebounds per game. He has ten double-doubles this season and average 18.5 rebounds per game a weekend ago.
Mack Arvidson leads the team this season in points (410), scoring average (15.8), and 3-pointers made (86). He also ranks 12th in the nation in 3-pointers made, and 13th in 3-point field goal attempts.
