Women's Basketball Opens Home NSIC Schedule this Weekend

Aberdeen, S.D. – The No. 14 Wolves women's basketball team will open home NSIC play this weekend against Bemidji State and Minnesota Crookston. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Friday versus the Beavers and 4 p.m. on Saturday against the Golden Eagles. Friday's game will also be aired as the MidcoSN Game of the Week.
 
The #16 Wolves enter the Monday contest with a 6-1 overall and 2-0 in the NSIC. Northern is currently shooting 47.8% from the floor, 42.6% from the arc, and 75.4% from the foul line. They are averaging 77.9 points, 44.0 rebounds, 17.9 assists, 15.7 turnovers, 5.0 steals, and 2.9 blocks per game this season.  The Wolves are out-scoring their opponents by 14 points a game, and out-rebounding their opponents by 13.1 boards per game Northern currently leads the NSIC in league contests in 3-point field goal percentage (47.8), rebounding margin (+17.0), assists (21.0), and defensive rebounds (33.5).
