Wolves Welcome Beavers and Golden Eagles to Wachs Arena

Aberdeen, S.D. – The No. 16 Northern State University men's basketball team returns home tomorrow for a weekend series with Bemidji State and Minnesota Crookston. The Wolves will face off against the Beavers at 8 p.m. on Friday and the Golden Eagles at 6 p.m. on Saturday. Friday's game will be aired as the MidcoSN Game of the Week.
 
The No. 16 Wolves enter the non-conference match-up with an 8-1 record overall and 2-0 mark in the NSIC, currently on a seven game win streak. NSU is shooting 47.8 percent from the floor, 38.4 percent from the arc, and 68.1 percent from the foul line. Northern is averaging 74.0 points, 38.1 rebounds, 15.3 assists, 12.8 turnovers, 5.8 steals, and 4.9 blocks per game this season. The Wolves are coming off two double figure victories to open NSIC play against Minot State and U-Mary, as Ian Smith and Gabe King each nabbed career highs. Smith scored a career high 26 points against the Beavers, while King added a career high 18 against the Marauders. Smith is leading three Wolves averaging double figures, notching 13.1 points per game. He also holds a team leading 36 assists this season. Carter Evans is shooting a team leading 67.7 percent from the floor, while notching a team second best 5.4 rebounds per game.
