Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State University swim team will travel to Morris, Minn. for a dual against University of Minnesota Morris. The meet is set to start at 5:30 p.m. on Friday Nov. 10
th.
The Wolves return to the pool after defeating University of Mary 144-117 on Saturday afternoon. As a unit, NSU finished the meet with seven first place finishes, and move to 1-11 in duals on the season.
The 400 medley relay team featuring Lexie Malimanek,
Kady Harris,
Karlie Brown, and
Maida Walters began the meet notching a second place finish with a time of 4:12.12. Skoric finished the meet with three first place finishes in the in the 200 free (2:00.42), 100 back (59.40), and 500 free (5:20.95).
Kady Harris followed with two first place finishes in the 50 breaststroke with a time of 32:26 and 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:09.80.
Josie Gillund also finished first place in the 100 free with a time of 56.27.
Ashley Dunn,
Kalina Emaus,
Edda Skoric, and
Josie Gillund capped off the meet winning the 800 free relay with a time of 8:10.27.
About Minnesota Morris
- The Cougars are 2-1 in duals with recent loss to St. Catherine University.
- Montana Lawrence tallied a first place finish in the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 11:50.90, while Katie Beauto notched a first place finish in the 50 fly with a time of 26.30 against St. Catherine.
- Caitlin Papke finished the dual nabbing a second place finish in the 100 free with a time of 57.67.
- Dave Molesworth is in his 14th season as head coach at UMM.
