Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State University swimming team will be back in the pool on Saturday Nov. 4
th at 2 p.m. from the Aberdeen YMCA as they compete against University of Mary for their second home meet of the season.
Two weeks ago, the Wolves traveled St. Cloud, Minn. for a quad against Northern Michigan, St. Cloud State, and Minnesota State University Moorhead. In day one of the meet, the 200 medley relay team featuring
Edda Skoric,
Kady Harris,
Gentry Musgrove, and Lexie Malimanek notched a sixth place finish with a time of 1:55.87, while the 200 free relay team featuring
Josie Gillund,
Sierra Ohm,
Ashley Dunn, and
Maida Walters nabbed a seventh place finish with 1:46.91. In day two of the competition, the Skoric, Harris,
Karlie Brown, and Gillund competed and finished fifth in the 400 medley with a time of 4:15.76.
Skoric led NSU by placing third in the 200 freestyle in both Friday and Saturday of the meet with the times of 1:58.03, 200 free 1:59.12. Skoric also notched third place win in the 100 back with a time of 59.81.
Kalina Emaus nabbed a third place finish in the 1650 free with a time of 19:02.54. On the season, Skoric leads the Wolves with six first place wins in the 200 back, 100 back, 500 free, and 50 back, while Emaus has tallied two first place wins in the 1000 free and 200 fly.
