Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State University football team is set for their final home game of the 2017 season tomorrow versus the University of Mary. Kick-off is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. between the Wolves and the Marauders, as the two teams are featured in the MidcoSN Game of the Week.
The Wolves tallied their third North Division victory last weekend, defeating St. Cloud State 21-16 on the road.
Cody Kraft and
Cameron Eisenhauer tallied the two receiving touchdowns for the Wolves in the win.
Noah MacPherson added the final score, on a strip sack that he recovered for a 53 yard touchdown. The Northern defense tallied three sacks for a total loss of 26 yards in the game. NSU is now averaging 15.2 points, 110.0 yards rushing, 163.1 yards passing, and 273.1 yards of total offense this season. The Wolves defense sits fourth in the NSIC in opponent third down conversions, with 32.0 conversion rate. Preston Droessler continues to sit fourth in the NSIC in sacks with 4.5, averaging .50 per game this season.
Josh Coyle leads the NSIC in fumbles recovered with three this season, while MacPherson is tied for second with three fumbles forced.
