St. Cloud, Minn. – The Northern State University swim team went 0-3 on the first day of the SCSU/MSUM/NSU/NMU Quad. The Wolves fell with scores of 194-43 to St. Cloud, 199-38 to Northern Michigan, and 170-67 to MSU Moorhead.
NSU started off the meet when the 200 medley relay team featuring
Edda Skoric,
Kady Harris, Lexie Malimanek, and
Gentry Musgrove, who notched a sixth place finish with a time of 1:55.87.
Edda Skoric led the Wolves posting a third place finish in the 200 yard free with a time of 1:58.03 and fourth place finish in the 200 back with a time of 2:11.38.
Kalina Emaus and
Karlie Brown finished sixth in their individual events. Emaus completed the 1000 free notching a time of 11:15.69, while Brown completed the 200 IM with a time of 2:19.31. Emaus also competed in the 200 fly and placed seventh posting a time of 2:18.38.
Freshman Hazel Ohm notched a personal record on the 200 free finishing with a time of 2:20.66.
Maida Walters,
Josie Gillund,
Sierra Ohm, and
Ashley Dunn capped off the first day of competition finishing seventh in the 200 free relay nabbing a time of 1:46.91.
The Wolves will hit the pool
tomorrow morning at
10 a.m. in the second day of competition against Northern Michigan, St. Cloud State, and MSU Moorhead.
