Aberdeen, S.D. – The No .11 Northern State University volleyball team will remain on the road this Friday and Saturday against Bemidji State and Minnesota Crookston. First serve is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Friday versus the Beavers, and 4 p.m. on Saturday against the Golden Eagles.
Northern split with No. 21 Wayne State and No. 18 Augustana on the road last weekend. In the two matches, NSU hit .232 with 116 kills, 112 assists, 154 digs, 11 aces, and 20.5 blocks. NSU came back after being down two sets to none against the Wildcats, hitting .282 in the final three sets. The Wolves out-dug the Wildcats, 91-78 in the win. In the loss to the Vikings, Northern tallied 12 blocks to Augustana's seven, and committed only 18 hitting errors to their 22.
Hailey Busch led the team with 39 kills, hitting .273. She was also second on the team with 33 digs.
Jenna Reiff was second on the team with 24 kills, and led the team with 16 blocks.
Ashley Rozell dished out 107 assists, and added seven blocks.
Jaiden Langlie led the defense with 36 digs, and added two aces.
Busch leads the team in 2017 with 191 kills, averaging 4.15 per set, while
Laura Snyder is hitting a team leading .364 followed by Reiff with a .309 mark. Rozell has tallied 764 assists this season, and currently ranks ninth in the nation averaging 11.58 assists per set. She is also leading the team with 40 aces, while sitting sixth nationally in aces per set. Langlie is leading the team on defense with 264 digs, averaging 4.00 per set, while Reiff has a team leading 73 blocks, averaging 1.11 per set. As a team the Wolves are hitting .287, while averaging 13.52 kills, 12.67 assists, 16.12 digs, 1.58 aces, and 2.01 blocks per set.
About Bemidji State
