"We have been lacking some depth on the men's sprint team the last few years, which is the number one concern that we have addressed with this year's signing class," noted head track and field coach Kevin Bjerke. "We are also excited to bring in some additional solid female jumpers, and simply to be elevating the level of both programs with both depth and top end talent across the board.  Having over 30 dynamic and talented incoming freshmen joining a solid group of upperclassmen is all our coaching staff could ask for, and is creating momentous enthusiasm and excitement for the coming year."
