Wolves Enter Final Two Weeks of the NSIC Regular Season

Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State University men's basketball team travels to St. Cloud State and Minnesota Duluth for their final road games of the regular season. The Wolves will match-up with the Huskies at 8 p.m. on Friday, and the Bulldogs at 6 p.m., on Saturday.
 
The Wolves enter the weekend after a pair of victories over No. 1 Augustana and Wayne State a weekend ago. Northern upset the then national leading Vikings in their first NSIC loss of the season. NSU shot 55.7% from the floor and 59.1% from the arc, while holding the powerful Augie offense to marks of 41.2% from the floor and 35.3% from the arc. The Wolves held AU leading scorer Daniel Jansen to just eight points and led the entire game. Skye Warwick earned NSIC North Division POW honors, averaging 17 points and shooting 65.0% from the floor and 55.3% from the arc. Darin Peterka has been key for the Wolves this season, averaging 15.2 points and helping out on both ends of the floor. Peterka is leading the team in 6 statistical categories this season. NSU sits third currently in the North Division and will look to finish the regular season strong to remain the in top four and secure the first round tournament game at home.
 
About the Huskies
                • St. Cloud returns home on a 3-game loss streak and 8-10 record in league action.
