Aberdeen, S.D. – After opening the season with a win in their home opener, the Northern State University women's basketball team will travel to the Yellow Jackets Classic to face Montana State, Billings and Black Hills State University. The Wolves recorded their first victory of the year with a 56-40 win over Black Hills State on Tuesday.
 
As a unit, Northern State shot 48.8 percent from field goal range, 40.0 percent from the three-point arc and 73.7 percent from the foul line. The Wolves scored 14 points off the bench, 24 points in the paint, and 16 points off 15 turnovers. NSU also outrebounded their opponents 37-29.
 
Junior Miranda Ristau led the Wolves' offense with 20 points, shooting 8-12 from the floor and 4-4 from the free throw line. Ristau also added a team-high seven rebounds and two steals.

NSU will take on Montana State, Billing at 8:30 p.m. on Friday and tip-off against BHSU at 4 p.m. on Saturday from Alterowitz Gymnasium.
