Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State University volleyball team hits the road this weekend for a pair of matches in Minnesota. The Wolves will face-off against Minnesota State Friday at 7 p.m., and then travel to face No. 3 Concordia-St. Paul at 4 p.m. on Saturday.
The No. 13 Northern State University Wolves went 2-1 a week ago, with victories over MSU Moorhead and Upper Iowa. Northern hit .218 with 55 kills, 49 assists, 78 digs, six aces, and five blocks in their 3-1 win over the Dragons. NSU hit .154 with 34 kills, 32 assists, 49 digs, one ace, and three blocks in their 3-0 loss to the Warriors. The Wolves hit. 252 with 52 kills, 50 assists, 84 digs, three aces, and three blocks in their sweep of the Peacocks.
The Wolves are hitting .245 as a team while averaging 13.3 kills, 12.7 assists, 16.5 digs, 1.5 service aces. And 1.8 blocks per set.
Holly Vancura leads the team with 247 kills, while
Tori Biach is hitting a team leading .394 this season. Redshirt freshman
Ashley Rozell is nearing 1,000 season assists with 928 total. She is third in the NSIC and the nation averaging 12.05 assists per set.
Jaiden Langlie has a team leading 282 digs this season, followed by Vancura, while Biach leads the team with 71 blocks.
