Wolves Soccer Matches Up With CU and MSU from Home

Aberdeen, S.D. – After snapping a six game losing streak in an overtime victory against Minnesota Crookston this past weekend, the Northern State University women's soccer team will look to continue the momentum into this Saturday and Sundays matches. The Wolves will face NSIC opponents Concordia- St. Paul and Minnesota State. NSU is currently 5-6-0 overall and 3-6-0 in conference play during the 2016 season.

The Wolves were 1-1 in the previous week, falling to Bemidji State 2-0 and bouncing back to defeat Minnesota Crookston 1-0 after nine minutes of overtime. Darian Leschewski recorded the one goal for the Wolves on the weekend. The redshirt sophomore led the NSU offense with nine shots and four shots on goal against the Beavers. 

Northern State continues to have an edge over opponents as they have compiled 26 goals as a team, compared to 15 total allowed. The Wolves also lead their opponents in shot on goal percentage with .475, shots per game with 20.0 and overall assists with 16. Senior Anna Bondy leads the Wolves statistically with 28 points, 12 goals and four assists.

NSU will face Concordia- St. Paul on Saturday and Minnesota State on Sunday. Both games will kick off at 1 p.m. from Jerde Field.

•    The Golden Bears are currently 2-5-4 overall and 2-2-4 in the NSIC midway through the 2016 season.
•    As a unit, Concordia- St. Paul averages 13.5 shots and 0.82 goals per match.
•    Jade Weller leads the team with six points, recording two goals and two assists in 11 games played.
