Wolves Continue NSIC Action From Home

The Northern State women's basketball team looks to keep the ball rolling from home this weekend with a series match-up against Southwest Minnesota State University and the University of Sioux Falls. The Wolves find themselves on a mid-season run as they have won the last seven consecutive conference games, and are 5-0 from home on the year.
 
Northern State is currently second in the NSIC with a conference record of 8-2, looking to take on the 1-9 Mustangs and the 7-3 Cougars.
 
After 15 total games, the Wolves have outscored opponents by 6.3 points per game. The team has also outshot opponents from field goal range 41.4 percent to 36.0 percent, as well as outrebounded, grabbing 42.5 rebounds per game compared to 31.3.
 
Sophomore forward Jill Conrad averages a team-high 12.9 points per game, while senior center Lauren Deadrick is second in the NSIC picking up 9.3 rebounds per match.
 
NSU will tip-off from Wachs Arena against SMSU at 6 p.m. on Friday and face USF at 4 p.m. on Saturday, with the men's game to follow.

About the Mustangs
  • Southwest Minnesota enters the weekend on a five game loss streak, and has tallied their lone conference victory over Minot State earlier this year.
