Aberdeen, S.D.- After five consecutive matchups on the road, the Northern State soccer team will wrap up the last of September's away games this weekend against Wayne State and Augustana University. The Wolves have compiled a 3-2-1 overall record and a 1-1-1 NSIC record this fall. Northern will kick off from Wayne, Neb. on Saturday and Sioux Falls, S.D. on Sunday, both upcoming games are schedule for 1 p.m..
Of the eight total Northern goals this season,
Anna Bondy has recorded four, while
Allie Macdonald,
Darian Leschewski,
Sydney Shintaffer and
Taven Morrison have contributed with one a piece.
Kay Hernandez has tallied two assists on the year. This weeks NSIC goalkeeper of the week, senior
Brittany Tietz, has added 28 saves in three appearances, with a .966 save percentage.
About Wayne State CollegeThe Wayne State Wildcats have started off conference play 0-3 early in the season, after a pair of ties in non-conference play. Wayne State fell to Augustana University, Winona State and Upper Iowa. Each of the four goals this season for the Wildcats were split among different offensive players. Augustana UniversityThe Augustana Vikings are currently 2-0-1 in conference play, and 4-1-1 overall in the 2015 season. Augustana defeated Wayne State and Winona State in conference play, and drew a tie against Upper Iowa. The scoring leader for the Vikings is sophomore forward, Samanatha Tymkowicz, with five goals in six games. Augustana is led by ten-year head coach, Brandon Barkus.
