Aberdeen, S.D. - The Northern State University women's basketball team is set for the NSIC/Sanford Health Semifinals versus Minnesota State. The Wolves and Mavericks will tip off from the Sanford Pentagon at 12 p.m., Monday.

The Wolves reached the semifinals with a 76-46 victory over Augustana, returning the favor after a 57-59 loss in NSIC regular season play. Rachel Krogman led Northern with 26 points and 12 rebounds, followed by Sadie Stotesbery with 14 points and a career high 14 rebounds. Devon Brecke added a career high of her own in the win, with seven assists. As a team, the Wolves recorded a season high 42 points in the paint, while grabbing 19 second chance scores. Megan Mutchler was the final Wolf in double-digits with 12 points. NSU shot 47.5 percent from the floor, as the Wolves are 20-1 this season shooting 40 percent or better. The Wolves and Mavericks met in the NSIC Sanford Health semifinals a season ago, with Northern ousting Minnesota State 57-56. MSU tallied 13 long-range baskets against NSU earlier this season, and hold a 36.2 shooting percentage mark from the arch. The key for Northern is to cut down on Maverick threes taken, and to slow down the quick paced MSU offense.
