Aberdeen, S.D.- The Northern State women's basketball team will return to action this weekend to face Winona State and Upper Iowa on the road. The Wolves enter January with an overall record of 8-3 and a conference record of 4-2. The team currently finds themselves in a three way tie for second place in the North Division, just behind St. Cloud State.

In their most recent conference match-up, the Wolves defeated Minnesota State Moorhead 60-59 on a game-winning free throw by senior, Devon Brecke. Jill Conrad led the team offensively, scoring 17 total points and shooting 75.0 percent from the three-point arch. Conrad continues to stay consistent for the Wolves as she leads the team, averaging 12.5 points per game.

Senior Lauren Deadrick has been a threat on the boards, as she leads the NSIC in offensive rebounds with 4.1 per contest. Through the first 11 games, the senior is averaging 9.5 rebounds a game.

Northern State will tip-off against Winona State on Friday at 6 p.m. and take on Upper Iowa on Saturday at 4 p.m. from the Dorman Gymnasium.
