Aberdeen, S.D.- The Northern State University swim team recorded a victory in their final home meet of the 2015-16 season against the University of Nebraska-Kearney. Picking up first place finishes in 12 of the 16 total events, the Wolves handled the Lopers 176-102. Northern State has now won three of their last four duals this season.

The Wolves started competition strong off the blocks, notching a victory in the first event of the meet. Jamie Fuse, Eliza Jacob, Ashley Dunn and Kayla Sproles recorded a 4:15.77 finish the 400 yard medley relay for the team.

As a team, Northern State had eight different swimmers record first place finishes in the dual. Leading the way was sophomore Kayla Sproles, placing first in the 400 yard medley relay, the 200 yard free relay, the 200 yard free (2:01.34) and the 100 yard free (54.54). Eliza Jacob also shined for the Wolves, tallying top finishes in the 400 yard medley relay, the 100 yard breast (1:11.24) and the 200 yard breast (2:35.38).

Freshman Kalina Emaus controlled the long distance events for NSU, as she placed first in both the 1650 yard free (19:05.03) and the 500 yard free (5:36.06). Freshman Sierra Ohm finished 1:05.30 in the 100 yard back, Amy Wockenfuss topped competitors in the 50 yard free recording a final time of 26.72, and Ashley Dunn also logged a first place finish in the 100 yard butterfly with a 1:02.80 final time.

The relay team consisting of Kayla Sproles, Sierra Ohm, Jamie Fuse and Amy Wockenfuss rounded out the meet for the Wolves by taking first in the 200 yard free with a 1:43.24 finish, sealing the 176-102 victory for Northern State.

The NSU swim team will splash back into action in just two weeks for the Rochester Invite on December 4^th at 5 p.m. from Rochester, Minn..
