Wolves Defeat the Cougars, Emaus and Dunn with Two First Place Finishes

The NSU swim team picks up another victory in their third head to head dual of the season, defeating the University of Minnesota Morris, 128-106. Northern State had first place finishes in eight of the 13 total events of the competition.
 
Freshman Kalina Emaus took home first in the 1650 yard freestyle (19:03.94) and in the 500 yard freestyle (5:41.99), picking up a season best high. Ashley Dunn also had two first place finishes for the Wolves, in the 200 yard freestyle (2:05.51) and the 100 yard butterfly (1:03.58).
 
Other top events were the 400 yard individual medley and the 100 yard freestyle, where Megan Hanson finished 5:09.63 and Kayla Sproles finished 54.70. Jamie Fuse finished 1:04.64 in the 100 yard backstroke and Eliza Jacob finished 1:11.17 in the 100 yard breaststroke, both for first place as well in the meet.

In the 50 yard freestyle, Sproles placed second and Wockenfuss and Ohm tied for third, all three recorded season best times.
 
The Northern State swim team will host their final home meet of the season from the Aberdeen YMCA on Friday, November 20th against the University of Nebraska Kearney at 5:30 p.m..
