NSU Soccer Hosts Bemidji State and Minnesota, Crookston at Home

After spending the last weekend on the road against some tough NSIC competition, the Northern State soccer team returns home to Jerde Field for back to back matches versus the Bemidji State Beavers and the Minnesota, Crookston Golden Eagles. The Wolves have tallied an overall record of 4-7-1 and find themselves 2-6-1 in the conference this fall.

Leading in goals this season for Northern State has been midfielder, Anna Bondy. The junior has completed a hat trick game against the University of Minnesota-Duluth, recorded six of the team's 15 total goals, and has a shot percentage of .200. Goalkeeper, Brittany Tietz has also compiled some noteworthy statistics. Tietz has held opponents to a 1.63 goals against average, has retained a save percentage of .833 and has notched 75 total saves.

The Wolves will take on Bemidji State at 1 p.m. on Saturday and Minnesota, Crookston at 1 p.m. on Sunday.

About Bemidji State
The Beavers are currently 8-4-0 overall and 5-4-0 in the NSIC this season. The team has outscored opponents 25-11 in 2015. Bemidji State's leading scorer Sarah Stram has recorded eight goals and four assists. Freshman Rachel Norton has also been a threat for the Beavers with seven goals and four assists. Head coach, Jim Stone, has been with the program for 14 years and has the highest win percentage of any head coach in BSU history.

About Minnesota, Crookston
The Golden Eagles have accumulated a 3-8-1 overall record and a 3-6-0 record in conference play. Crookston goalkeepers have 84 saves to their opponent's 35 total saves on the year. Junior Lexie Gauger has only allowed 12 goals and has maintained a 1.07 goals against average. With two goals and three assists this season, midfielder Delaney McIntyre leads in points for the Golden Eagles. The team is led by third year head coach, Joe Alianiello.
