With under a minute to go in the first half of play Anna Bondy notched her second goal of the game. Washburn was on the attack in the Northern end and stopped by NSU defender Bobbye Pendleton. Pendleton moved the ball to Bondy who took on two WU defenders, slipping a shot by the diving Ichabod keeper.

The Wolves led the game 3-0 going into the half, looking very strong both offensively and defensively. Northern led the game with five shots. Northern keeper Brittany Tietz saw little action, however recorded one save to leave the Ichabods scoreless.

WU answered back in the second half with a goal of their own, from freshman Audra Keehn. Tietz recorded three more, crucial saves in the half, as the Washburn offense ran the attack. However the score was not enough for the Ichabods as they fell in the game 3-1.
