Live Video Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State University soccer team will conclude their five game home stint this weekend against Wayne State College and Augustana College. The Wolves are currently 2-4 overall and 1-2 in Northern Sun Conference play. Game times are set for 1 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday from Jerde Field.
Brittany Tietz is coming off a stellar start for the Wolves, as she racked up 11 saves against the every powerful Bulldog offense. Tietz kept Northern in the hunt for their second conference win of the season, however the Wolves were unable to connect with net. NSU looks to rebound in week three of NSIC play.
Anna Bondy leads the team with four goals and two assists on the year.
Allie Macdonald will be back in action looking to score her second goal of the season. Tietz has recorded 38 saves and one shut-out, thus far.
About Wayne State
The Wildcats are 1-4-1 on the year overall and 0-3-0 in conference play. As a team, Wayne State has scored three goals on the year, with no one player connecting twice. The goalkeeping staff has given up 11 goals in six games, with one shut-out on the year. A season ago Wayne went 2-14-2 overall and 2-11-2 in Northern Sun play.

About Augustana The Vikings are currently on a five game win streak, after recording their fourth straight shut-out against Winona State a weekend ago. Augie is 5-1 overall and 3-0 in NSIC play. Four players sit with three goals on the season for the Vikings, who have scored 14 as a team. The Augustana goal keeping staff has held their opponents to four goas on the season, while recording 32 saves. Augustana went 10-8-1 a season ago, and 8-6-1 in the Northern Sun.
Last Season The Wolves fell to the Vikings 1-3 on the road in 2013.
Bobbye Pendleton recorded the Wolves lone goal of the match. Tietz racked up eight saves on the day for NSU. The Vikings recorded all three goals in the first 48 minutes of play, before Pendleton responded with only 17 minutes remaining in the game. The Vikings out-shot the Wolves 19-5 in the loss.
