The Northern State football team returns home Saturday as in-state rival Augustana comes to Swisher Field for a 5 p.m. contest.

The Wolves (1-1) are coming off a come-from-behind 28-21 victory over Concordia-St. Paul last Saturday. NSU forced four Golden Bears turnovers in the win including an 80-yard, game-winning "pick-six" from Joe Parsley. Parsley also added five tackles in the game and was named the NSIC's Defensive Player of the Week for his efforts.

About the Vikings
The Vikings (1-1) lost a heart-breaking 23-22 contest to then-third-ranked Minnesota Duluth last weekend in overtime. Augustana missed the game-tying PAT in the extra frame. The Vikings are led by quarterback Trey Heid who has passed for 540 yards and six touchdowns this season without throwing an interception. The wide receiver trio of Grant Gebhardt, Matt Gerry and Matt Heller has all caught a pair of touchdown passes so far this season.

AC is stout defensively as it returns four players on that side of the ball who were named All-NSIC a season ago. Defensive lineman Jake Lee and linebacker Ben Skelly were First Team All-South Division selections in 2013 while linebacker Brandon Mohr and defensive back Justin Brown were second team and honorable mention, respectively.

The Vikings are led by second year Head Coach Jerry Olszewski who is 5-8 overall with Augustana.

Last Meeting
Augustana won the two teams' last meeting back in 2012 in Sioux Falls, 35-14. NSU quarterback Jared Jacobson rushed for a team-high 153 yards in the loss.

The Series
The Vikings lead the all-time series 27-6-1. Northern last won back in 2003.

Forecast
Saturday should be a beautiful day as the forecast calls for clear skies and temperatures in the mid-to-high-70s with low winds.

As always, Saturday's game will be broadcast live on ESPN Radio Aberdeen 1420 AM and 107.1 FM. The "Voice of the Wolves" Ben Root will be on the call. Saturday's game will also be tape-delayed on the Midco Sports Network.
