The Northern State men's basketball team will hit the road for the final time during the 2013-14 regular season this weekend as the Wolves will face their final South Division opponents during the regular season as well. Northern plays Wayne State Friday at 8 p.m. and will face-off with Augustana at 7 p.m. Saturday.
NSU is 2-3 against WSC under Head Coach
Paul Sather and is 0-6 against the Vikings under Sather. The Wolves currently cling to a one-game lead in the North Division for fourth place. If Northern finishes fourth or higher in the division it will host a First Round game of the NSIC Tournament February 26.
About the Wildcats
Wayne State is second-to-last in the league in scoring offense averaging 62.3 points per game but is sixth allowing 73.9 points per contest. WSC is third in the league in three-point defense allowing just 34.2 percent from long range. Wayne is led by Brian Dolan who is in his first year as Head Coach of the Wildcats. Prior to being at WSC, Dolan spent seven seasons at Upper Iowa where he led the Peacocks to a 20-12 record last season and the school's first-ever NCAA Division II postseason tournament.
About the Vikings
Augustana is sixth in the league averaging 79.3 points per game and is fourth allowing 71.8 per contest in conference-play. The Vikings rank fourth in the NSIC in three-point shooting as they hit 39.4 percnet from long range. Augustana is sixth in rebounding margin at 3.4 and is fifth in assists averaging 12.89 per game. The Vikings take good care of the ball, ranking fourth in turnover margin at .72 and is sixth in assist-to-turnover ratio at 1.12. Tom Billeter is in his 11
th season as the Head Coach at AC. He was named the 2013 Clarence "Big House" Gaines Division II National Coach of the Year.
Sophomore forward Casey Schilling does it all for the Vikings as he leads the team in scoring (19 ppg), rebounding (8.5 rpg), blocks (1.3 bpg) and steals (1.9 spg) and is tied for first on the squad averaging three assists per game.

Northern's
Seth Bachand ranks third in the league in field goal percentage shooting 61 percent from the floor. Bachand also leads the Wolves overall in scoring averaging 11.7 per game.
Tydan Storrusten leads NSU in scoring during conference-play with 12.2 per game. Storrusten ranks seventh in the NSIC averaging 3.6 assists per contest and is 11
th in free-throw percentage at 84 percent from the line.
Skye Warwick remains atop the league in three-pointers made per game with 2.67 and is 10
th in three-point percentage hitting 45 percent from beyond the arc.
Trent Zomer and Bachand rank sixth and eighth, respectively in the league in blocked shots per game averaging 1.5 and 1.22, respectively.
