About the Bulldogs
Chris Foster is in his first season as the Head Coach with the Bulldogs after serving one season as the associate head coach with the team. Truman returns three starters from last season's 20-7 squad and was picked to finish fourth in the GLVC West Division. It is the second season that the Bulldogs have competed in the conference, prior to that they were in the MIAA. Reed Mells leads the Bulldogs in scoring at 21 points per contest while Seth Jackson is averaging 18 per as the two are the only players in double-figures so far this season for TSU. The duo is also first and second, respectively on the squad in rebounding averaging six and 4.5 a game.

Truman is 1-1 this season with a season-opening victory over Lake Superior State, 82-65 and a 76-74 loss to Trevecca Nazarene. The Bulldogs are averaging 78 points per contest this season and are shooting over 48 percent from the field as a team. TSU has struggled on the glass so far through the young season as it has been out-rebounded by 9.5 boards per game this year.

This will be the first-ever meeting between Northern and Truman. It will also be NSU's second-to-last non-conference contest before beginning conference play.
