Mankato, Minn. – The Northern State University soccer dropped a one goal contest to No. 2 Minnesota State Mankato. The Wolves fall to 4-6 overall and 3-4 in conference play, while the Mavericks remain undefeated.
Brittany Tietz recorded a career high 12 saves in the contest, against a team that averages 3.12 goals per game. Tietz held the Mavericks to one goal, scored mid-way through the first period.
The Northern offense was unable to draw up an attack, as
Anna Woern took the teams' lone shot. Woern's shot came with just minutes remaining in the game.
The Wolves will return home next weekend to face Winona State and Upper Iowa. Game times are set for 1 p.m. between the two teams, Saturday and Sunday from Jerde Field.
