MSU Live VideoAberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State University soccer team will travel for their first away games of the NSIC season. Northern matches up with Concordia-St. Paul, Saturday at 1 p.m., and Minnesota State Mankato, Sunday at 1 p.m. as well. The Wolves are currently 3-5 on the year and 2-3 in conference play.
After a two goal weekend,
Anna Bondy, leads the team with six on the year. Bondy has 14 points thus far this season, adding two assists to the team total.
Allie Macdonald returned for the Wolves scoring her first goal in the Saturday win versus Wayne State.
Brittany Tietz has made eight starts for the Wolves racking up 51 saves, with a .810 save percentage. Northern looks to bounce back after an overtime loss to Augustana College.
About Concordia The Golden Bears are 2-4-1 overall and 2-2-1 in NSIC play. CU is coming off a one goal win against Bemidji State a weekend ago. The 2014 squad was picked to finish 12
th in the NSIC preseason coaches' poll. The Golden Bears return eight starters from the 2013 team along with one of its two goalkeepers. Taryn MacMillan leads the CU offensive attack with two goals on the year.
Last Season The Wolves topped the Golden Bears 1-0 in 2013 from Aberdeen.

Anna Bondy. Tietz collected three saves in the one goal shutout. Bondy led the team with three shots on the day.
About Minnesota State
The No. 2 Mavericks are unbeaten in 2014, with eight total games played. The top pick in the preseason coaches' poll, has recorded six shutouts. Minnesota State returns 21 players from 2013, after they finished 17-3-2 on the year. Korey Kronforst leads the team with eight goals and 16 points thus far. Five Mavericks have recorded multiple goals this season, while six have recorded multiple assists. The MSU goalkeeping staff, has recorded 16 saves and allowed only two goals in eight games.
