Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State University soccer team will headed to Sioux Falls and Marshall this Saturday and Sunday for their final full weekend of the regular season. The Wolves, who are currently 4-10 overall and 3-8 in the Northern Sun, look to bounce back from a five game loss streak.

The Wolves fell twice last weekend at Bemidji State and Minnesota Crookston, being shutout in each game. Anna Bondy continues to lead the team with six goals on the season, followed by Allie Macdonald with two. Brittany Tietz has started every game for Northern, compiling 84 total saves on the year. NSU must shot early and often this weekend, taking advantage of the opportunities given to them.

The Cougars are on a four game loss streak in conference play, with their lone win coming against St. Cloud State three weekends ago. USF is 1-12-1 on the year and 1-10 in the Northern Sun. Ciara Howerton leads the Cougar attack with four goals this season, followed by Elisa Martinez with three. Sioux Falls has given up a total of 53 goals on the year, with a split keeping staff.

The Mustangs suffered two losses to Winona State and Upper Iowa a weekend ago. SMSU is 7-6-1 overall and 6-4-1 in conference play, and hold the sixth place standing in the league with two weeks remaining. Southwest is led by Miranda Cadena with 11 goals on the year. Five other Mustangs athletes have connected for multiple scores this season. Brienna Dehkes has been solid for SMSU, recording 60 saves and giving up only 18 goals.
