The Northern State wrestling team lost Saturday afternoon to No. 6 ranked Upper Iowa 47-0 inside Wachs Arena. The Wolves (3-7, 0-3 NSIC) competed hard at many weight classes but just couldn't get over the hump to win a match.

CJ Voegeli at 133 pounds and Ian Muirhead at 141 each had an opportunity to come away with a victory in their matches before giving up points in the latter stages of the third round. Voegeli lost 8-6 to Upper Iowa's Matt Paulus while Muirhead was defeated 3-2 by Duane Richardson.

Blake Lundgren (165) and Anthony Reurink (heavyweight) both competed well against tough competition in their losses.

The Wolves return to action next Thursday, January 30 as they travel to face Augustana in 7 p.m. dual in Sioux Falls.
