Third-ranked St. Cloud State lived up to that billing Friday night as the Northern State wrestling team fell to the Huskies 41-3 inside Wachs Arena. The loss drops NSU to 3-6 overall and 0-2 in the NSIC.

Joe Gomez at 197 pounds was the lone victor in the dual for the Wolves. Gomez notched a 6-1 decision over Uthman Rabiu to give NSU its three team points. The win improves Gomez's record to 15-10 overall on the season.

Blake Lundgren wrestled well in defeat for the Wolves at 165 pounds. Lundgren dropped a hard-fought match to second-ranked Gabe Fogarty 5-1.

The Wolves had to forfeit two matches in the dual, at 125 and 184 pounds. Northern returns to action Saturday afternoon as Upper Iowa comes to Aberdeen for 2:00 match.
