Wolves Unable to Snap Huskies' Win Streak, Fall 48-59

St. Cloud, Minn. - Coming off of a last seconds win the previous night, The Northern State University women's basketball team falls to St. Cloud State University, 48-59. The Wolves slide to 15-9 overall and 11-9 in the league, as the Huskies improve to a 17-7 mark on the season and 13-7 in the loop.

Sarah Hintz led the Wolves on the night scoring 16 points and pulling in seven rebounds, while Rachel Krogman added 15 points and nine rebounds. As a team, NSU accounted for 39 rebounds, 14 of which fromthe offensive end, resulting in 12 points. Great paint play resulted in 32 of the team's 48 total scores. However, 23 team turnovers would lead to a total of 18 points for the Huskies in the victory. 

Rayen Robinson led SCSU with 14 points and seven rebounds; close behind was Sam Price with 13 scores on the night. As a team the Huskies shot 39.3 percent from the floor as they held the Wolves to 37 percent. The key of the night for St. Cloud was seven three-pointers to Northern's two. 

The Wolves return home next weekend to round up regular season play from the Aberdeen Civic Arena, for the Retro Weekend. Game times are set for Friday at 6 p.m., versus Minot State University and Saturday at 5 p.m., versus University of Mary.
