The Northern State men's basketball team begins its second weekend of conference play and its first NSIC doubleheader as the Wolves travel to face Minot State Friday at 8 p.m. and U-Mary in a 6 p.m. contest Saturday.
Scouting the Beavers
Guard EJ Williams is second in the league in scoring averaging 18.2 points per game. His 30 points scored in game one of the NSIC slate rank him tops in league play. The Beavers are a perfect 5-0 on the year and are beating their opponents by an average of 16.2 points per contest and beat U-Mary 96-87 in their NSIC opener. Minot is led by second year Head Coach Matt Murken.
Scouting the Marauders
The Marauders come into the weekend having lost four in a row after beginning the season 2-0 with wins over South Dakota Mines and Presentation. However, U-Mary is 2-0 at home this season. Head Coach Jevin Budde is in his third year as the head man at Mary. Forward Marc Musungayi leads the team in scoring (11.7), rebounding (6.3) and blocks (1.2).

Northern Notes
Northern State looks to get back on track this weekend with a pair of road games after having its five-game winning streak snapped last Saturday in the Wolves' 87-76 loss at MSU Moorhead to begin conference play. The Wolves shot a season-low 40.7 percent from the floor in the loss to the Dragons. Friday and Saturday will be the second and third games of NSU's three-game road swing to begin NSIC play.
Skye Warwick tied a career-high with six made three-pointers in the loss at Moorhead. Warwick heads into the weekend 57
th in the nation shooting 47.1 percent from beyond the arc. Warwick's 3.43 three-pointers made a game are the 30
th best in the country.
As always, Friday and Saturday's games will be played as part of a doubleheader with the women's team being played at 6 and 4 p.m., respectively.
