Aberdeen, S.D. - The Northern State University women's basketball team will play from home this weekend as they take on MSU Moorhead Dragons from Wachs Arena beginning at 5 p.m.
Northern is coming off a two win weekend at home against Minnesota Crookston and Bemidji State. In the two games the Wolves saw solid play in the paint as well as much needed scoring from the bench in each of the match-ups. Friday night versus the Golden Eagles brought a career high 29 points from senior
Alison Kusler. Kusler now sits at 957 career points after the two wins. In the Wolves match-up with the Beavers, junior
Kara Hofschild contributed from all areas of the court with a career high 11 points going 9-10 from the free-throw line. She also added six defensive rebounds and two assists in her 21 minutes of play.
Just three short weeks ago NSU snagged a win from the Dragons in the NSIC season opener with a score of 96-88. The Wolves saw a career high 24 points out of junior
Megan Mutchler, with four other teammates also connecting for double-digit scores. Northern must continue to shot well from the floor, and as always look from an increase in three point baskets made.
