The Northern State wrestling team dropped to 1-1 in dual meets after a 28-9 defeat against Chadron State Saturday afternoon. The dual was the Wolves' first dual on the road this season.

Anthony Bruno (125), Ian Muirhead (141) and Joe Gomez (197) picked up the three victories in the match for NSU.

Bruno opened things up for the Wolves with a hard-fought struggle against Chadron's Alex Klopp as Bruno held on for a 1-0 decision. Muirhead's victory was close as well, as he defeated Jay Stine in a 7-6 match. Gomez's win came in sudden victory as he won a 4-2 thriller over Devan Fors.

Saturday will be Northern's final event before winter break. The Wolves return to action January 8 as they travel to Jamestown for a 7 p.m. dual with the Jimmies.
