Aberdeen, S.D. - With only two games left in the regular season, the Northern State University Soccer team is fighting for a spot in the NSIC Conference Tournament which begins November 6th. The Wolves currently sit ninth in the league with one less point than Friday opponent Minot State. The top eight teams at the end of this weekend will qualify.
NSU will begin the weekend on the road, Friday November 1st, as the take on the Beavers of Minot State. This is a very important match-up for both squads who are on the brink of making the tournament. Game time is set for 1 p.m. between the two teams from Minot.
For the first time this season, the women will then experience a day break Saturday as they travel back to Aberdeen for Senior Day from Jerde Field. The Wolves will face off against the Marauders of University of Mary beginning at 1 p.m. Sunday November 3rd.
The team has worked hard over the season and is hungry for the NSIC bid. Their fate is in their own hands as two wins will easily propel them into a November 6th match-up for the first round of the conference tournament.
