St. Cloud, Minn. - Taking a much needed win over St. Cloud State University with a score of 1-0, the Northern State Wolves tab their eigth win of the season. NSU now sits at 8-6-1 overall and 5-6-1 in the league while the Huskies fall to 7-7-1 on the year and 4-7-1 in the NSIC.

Anna Woern scored her first goal of the season for NSU. Woern recieved a beautiful cross from
Allie Macdonald to place the ball just past the SCSU keeper. Northern recorded 11 shots in the game, eight of which were on goal. Macdonald and
Anna Bondy each recorded two of the tams shots on goal. Goalkeeper
Brittany Tietz recorded a season high 11 saves on the day in her sixth shutout of the year. The team is off to a nice start in their hopes of earning a bid to the NSIC Conference Tournament.
NSU will be back in action tomorrow from Duluth as they take on the Bulldogs with game time set for 1 p.m. Northern only has three more games remaining in regular season play.
