Soccer Moms Scrimmage
Aberdeen, S.D. - The Northern State University Soccer team ends the weekend with a record of 6-5-1 overall and 3-5-1 in NSIC play, as they ties Minnesota Crookston in Sunday action. The Golden Eagles moved to 3-7-2 on the year and 1-6-2 in the league after a 0-0 tie with the Wolves through double overtime.
Although NSU was out shot in the match-up they were able to notch one more shot on goal. Northern was led mainly by
Allie Macdonald who tallied five shots on the day, two of which were on goal. In a close second was
Miranda Brower with three shots on the day, two which were headers on goal. Wolves goalkeeper made three saves on the day shutting out the visitin Golden Eagles. Today's game marked the first career tie for Tietz in a Northern uniform.
The Northern women will continue the home stand next weekend as they take on University of Sioux Falls and Southwest Minnesota State. The Wolves will start the weekend Saturday, with a noon start, mathcing up against the Cougars of USF. Sunday will then bring the Mustangs of SMSU in a 1 p.m. start. Both games will take place form Jerde Field in Aberdeen.
