The 2013-14 Northern State swim season gets underway Friday evening as the Wolves host MSU Moorhead in a dual meet beginning at 6 p.m. at the Aberdeen YMCA.

Friday's meet will be one of three home meets for the Wolves this season (Nov. 8 and 22).

Northern is led by seventh-year head coach Elyce Kastigar. This year's Wolves squad has a good mixture of both experience and youth. Seniors Elizabeth Cvrk, Ashley LaFave, Hannah Mastel and Sara Peterson provide the Wolves with leadership while NSU welcomes six new faces to the pool in freshmen Shannon Fines, Eliza Jacob, Abby Ottenbacher, Katelyn Rhodes, Katherine Springer and Kamie Wagar.

Sophomores Brianna Iverson, Julia Upshaw and Lindsey Wilson, along with juniors Samantha Bahr, Samantha Gunning, Michyl Miller, Amanda Taylor and Mikaela Waiflein also return to this year's team.

The Dragons come into Friday's dual with an experience roster that finished 5-0 last season in dual meets.
